Landree turned seven months old on Wednesday! I can't believe time has gone by so fast. She's getting so big! We've been working with her on learning to sit up by herself. ECI comes to
her daycare once a week to work with her and her teachers have been helping her too. She did it! Yay! We're so proud of her! She's a little wobbly but she's doing good! The age range for when kids with Down Syndrome are able to sit up by themselves is
anywhere between 6 and 30 months. That's quite the wide range. It's hard to predict when she'll reach certain milestones. Each child is so different. I guess that's true with any child just not to the same extent. I've never been much of a wait and see
kind of gal so sometimes I have to remind myself to forget about the age ranges and charts. We'll just have to wait and see what Miss Landree has in store for us!
Landree got
to meet our horse, Harper, this week. I'm a little behind on that one. I think her big brother started going to visit and pet the horses when he was a couple months old. She loved Harper! She lit up when she got to sit on her. (Don't worry. I cleaned
her hands with a baby wipe as soon as we got back to the car.) Harper wasn't quite as excited about the meeting. She was more concerned with the feed bucket. That's ok. I'm sure they'll be the best of friends when Landree gets a little
older. I think we've got a little cowgirl on our hands! I might need to go ahead and start looking for her a pair of pink boots and a sparkly belt!
